Statement Regarding the Coronavirus
The following is a statement from the elder team regarding the Coronavirus:
Dear Threshold Family,
No doubt that by this time you have heard on the news or social media about concerns related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We wanted to make a brief statement about our stance on this situation.
We believe that using wisdom is always in order, and encourage you to take whatever personal precautions you deem appropriate. We will also ensure that our kids’ classrooms and toys are appropriately cleaned and sanitized when we meet on Sundays.
At the same time, we want to be clear that we will not be giving any place to the spirit of fear or be participating in the panic that seems to be spreading in our nation. Now is not the time to cower in fear, but to arise and shine. Jesus is still King, God is still on the throne, and there is power in the blood of Jesus to protect and to heal. Let’s stand in a posture of faith and hope!
Our plan is to continue all church gatherings as normal. If restrictions on large gatherings are issued, we will meet in smaller gatherings in homes. But we will gather to pray, worship, encounter God, and be encouraged in the Word.
This Sunday, we will have a special time of prayer and intercession, as well as ministry for freedom from the spirit of fear. Let’s gather together as the church and stand bright in this hour!
