Kids Empowered at Home: A Parent Equipping Event!
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14)
We love and value children, and see them as a vital part of our congregation! God is moving in our kids, and we are excited about the new curriculum that was written by pastor Jake and our Kids Ministry Director, Nikki Patterson. The focus of the curriculum–and our Kids Ministry in general–is to see kids empowered to know, grow, and show a real relationship with God.
We believe that having a vibrant and Spirit-filled Kids Ministry is vital to the life of our church. At the same time, it is parents who God has called to be the primary spiritual leaders of their children. Kids Ministry is not meant to take the place of the parents’ role at home, but to come alongside of them and help enhance the spiritual growth of their kids.
Kids Empowered at Home: A Parent Equipping Event
We are excited about an equipping event for parents that is happening on Saturday, October 14th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Some of the topics that will be covered are:
- Empowering our Kids: Learning to see our kids the way Jesus does
- Raising up our Kids in the Lord: The role of parents in teaching and training their children in the things of God, and practical ways to lead kids at home
- Blessing our Children: The importance of blessing our children and the power of our words
- Kids and the Holy Spirit: Leading our kids into the power of the Holy Spirit and hearing the voice of God
There will be practical teaching, tools for equipping your children, testimonies of God moving in kids, small group discussion time, and a time for Q & A.

This is a free event, but we are asking you to register ahead of time so that we can plan accordingly. You can register at the Info Table on Sunday mornings, or by emailing Laura Andrews at laura@threshold-church.com (please include the number of children you will be bringing for childcare).
