Consecrate: 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting!
At the beginning of every year, we have a special time set aside for prayer and fasting. We want to set the tone for the year and be intentional to focus on the Lord and what He is saying and doing. This year, the theme of our 21-day fast is Consecrate and the theme verse is Joel 2:15: “Blow the trumpet in Zion; consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly.”
We are living in a critical time in history. Our nation, the body of Christ, and our local church are all in a pivotal season. We want to consecrate ourselves afresh to God and prepare for what He has in store. We are anticipating for the Holy Spirit to move and speak in fresh ways during our 21-day fast!
Participating in the Fast
Fasting is a spiritual discipline that impacts us and the world around us. It is an intentional way to humble ourselves and rely on God, to deny the flesh, and to pursue the things of the Spirit.
During this 21-day time, we are encouraging people to participate in the fast as the Lord leads, and make it a priority to join in on our prayer gatherings. There will be sign-up sheets at the information table to commit to specific days of fasting.
You can also sign up, or get more information about the fast, by emailing Jenn Nestler at: firstname.lastname@example.org
