A New Season at Threshold

The following is an update from the Threshold Leadership Team:

This past Sunday, Jeff shared about a new season we are headed into as a church body. We are excited to see the Lord continue to build a church body that is grounded in the Word, walks in the power of the Holy Spirit, and equips people to walk in their gifts and calling.

Threshold was birthed just over six years ago, and we have been on a journey ever since. As with any journey, there is growth and change along the way. One of the keys for moving forward into a new season is having the right people in the right positions for the right time.

There are several things that Jeff communicated in his message:

Elder Team Transition

Ken and Lauren Uhrich have been faithfully committed to Threshold since its beginning, and have been serving as elders for the past four years. As they have evaluated the things the Lord is calling them to in this season, they felt it was time to step down from the elder position. We are so grateful for all they have done, and look forward to them continuing to be a vital part of our church body!

Internal Advisory Team

We recently established an internal advisory team of seasoned couples who love Threshold and want to see it reach its full potential. Galen and Marie Burkholder, Randy and Judy Martin, and Nelson and Kim Shertzer have been serving on this team. Randy and Judy have recently felt the call to help with a church plant, so they will be stepping down from this role. They will stay connected and we will still be seeing them around.

Executive Pastor/Director of Ministry Development

After a considerable discernment process, the leadership team of Threshold has asked Jake Kail to step into a new role that will include increased leadership responsibilities. As Executive Pastor/Director of Ministry Development, Jake will be responsible for:

-Overseeing the vision and direction of the church body, in conjunction with the elder team

-Strategic planning and church-wide ministry development

-Leading and overseeing the pastoral team and paid staff

-Spearheading the preaching topics for Sunday morning gatherings

Jeff will remain the lead elder and Jake’s role will develop and increase over the next several months. We are excited for Jake to step into this new role and see how God will continue to bless and lead Threshold as a church body!
